God's Plan for Sharing GPS - March 01, 2010
March Madness!!! First the tsunami, now College Basketball. Wait - i meant GPS. And that's nothing to get mad about. The devil will but not us. March is our month for sowing and harvesting. Engines are reving up throughout our SBC ohana as we prepare and wait in great expectation of what God is already doing and about to do on April 4, your Easter Sunday Service. One unique feature of GPS is the concertive partnership of churches. We are doing this together. We have 40 churches partnering, praying and plowing the field. As we draw near to March 14, the number is likely to increase. You are not alone!

The downloads may take awhile but it's worth the wait. Here's what it can do for you.
1. Know where your members are in the neighborhood.
2. Know who are your neighbors by name, who they are and by visiting, know how to pray for them.
3. Know the demographics of your neighborhood.
4. Find out who are the new neighbors around the area.
5. It's a great tool for your prayer walkers and for your door to door as they share the love of Christ.
6. Generate reports that can best describe the present situation of your neighborhood and church outreach events.
7. And more...
Such a tool is made possible because of your cooperative giving. This can maximize great potential for your ministry. Don't hesitate to ask any of your member/s who maybe available to assist you in case computer stuff becomes complicated. Better yet, call me and I'll do my best to get you running in no time.

Go to http://www.mappingcenter.org/downloads/install/communityconnector/install.exe
Select to save the file.
Save to your Desktop, My Documents or another chosen folder.
Once downloaded, open the install.exe file.
Click Unzip (NOTE: If you receive a message saying that this is not a valid Windows applications, the file did not download completely. Please try the download again.).
After a minute of unzipping, the Install Wizard screen will appear. Click Next until you see the Install button and select Install (If you are upgrading it will prompt you to remove the old version first. Once that is completed, run the install.exe again.).
Once completed, please continue below.
Step 2: Download Area Maps
Go to http://www.mappingcenter.org/downloads/data/communityconnector/himapdata.exe
Select to save the file.
Save to your Desktop, My Documents or another chosen folder.
Once downloaded, open himapdata.exe.
Click Unzip (NOTE: If you receive a message saying that this is not a valid Windows applications, the file did not download completely. Please try the download again.).
Once completed, please continue below.
Step 3: Download Area Data
Go to http://www.mappingcenter.org/downloads/data/communityconnector/hidata.exe
Select to save the file.
Save to your Desktop, My Documents or another chosen folder.
Once downloaded, open hidata.exe.
Click Unzip (NOTE: If you receive a message saying that this is not a valid Windows applications, the file did not download completely. Please try the download again.).
Once completed, please continue below.
Step 4: Open and Configure Community Connector
On your Windows Desktop, open Community Connector.
Once on the main menu, click Upgrade Center in the bottom right.
Enter your username: hpbaptist
Enter your Residential Listing Key: g1119nq
Click Unlock.
Click Close to return to the main menu.
On the main menu, click Configure.
Next to Area Data, click the browse button with the 3 dots.
Look in the CCData folder under your local C drive and double click the CCData file (or CCData.mdb).
Click OK after refreshed and click OK on Configure.
On the main menu, click View Map.
You can select to Register Later or click Register by Phone and e-mail the displayed Product Code to support@mappingcenter.org to register. You can use for 15 days before registering.
