Gospel Script - From "Make Disciples" Class

Practice develops confidence.   An element missing to an evangelistic zeal beyond the Holy Spirit is to train to share the gospel.  In the "Make Disciples" Class, I have developed a script to help share the gospel.   This script will not make sense to you if you have not attended the class. I hope to elaborate on this in the next few blogs.

A few highlights of this gospel presentation:

  • It has five major sections that help facilitate gospel sharing
  • It uses three chairs illustration as a visual aid
  • It is theological and emphasizes man's problem of sin towards a holy God

Neg I am sorry about what happened.  Life is not perfect and I go through hardships as well.

Church. ___________  Thank you for visiting our church. What did you think about what you saw at church?  (Relate and Connect)

Transition: “Tell me your story”   A little about yourself

Connect

My Story using 3 chairs.

Intro: I want you to imagine three hairs.  One chair represents a life without Jesus,  another chair represents a life with Jesus, the last chair represents a life growing in Jesus.

My story.

My life on the first chair was_________

Then something significant happened ____________ and I followed Jesus and sat on the second chair

My life today is between chair 2 and 3 and I am growing as I follow Him.

What chair are you sitting on?

1 Cor. 15:2 – the Bible said, “ By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.  Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

Cross Over

G – God’s Character, he loves me, he hates sin

God is love.  He loves you that is why He made you.  He wants us to be with him forever.

God is holy.  He is holy and hates sin.   We cannot stand before God because of our sins

O – Offence of Sin, sin has to be punished

We have offended God because of our sins.  We are all sinners.

The problem is God loves us but God hates our sin.

S – Sufficiency of Christ, God, lived, died, alive

God solved this problem through Jesus alone.   Jesus lived a perfect life, died, buried but on the third day He rose again from the grave, to reconcile us to God.

P – Personal Response, make a choice

You and I need to make a choice.   (share a small sentence of your experience).  I made this choice when I was twelve years old.  Today, you can make this choice to move from chair 1 to char 2.

E – Eternal Life, life, abundant life, eternal life

When you make this choice, the Bible said, you will have eteral life.

L – Life Transformation, begin to change you

Bot not only life for the future, but a life transformed beginning today.

Does this make sense to you?

Would you like to move from chair number 1 to chair 2 and be a follower of Jesus?
