As a pastor, i look for church evangelism initiatives that is inspiring, informative and equipping.  My Hope America with Billy Graham will prove to be one of those.  The concept is simple.  Be like Matthew, who after he got saved, invited his friends to his house to meet Jesus (Matthew 9:9-10).  In the same token, I will encourage my people to be Matthews and invite their friends to their house on November 7. 

Why November 7?  While this church outreach can be done anytime, it is important for my church to do things together.  I am encouraging my church to join the biggest evangelism strategy of North America where thousands of Christians would evangelize in their homes.  We are never alone.  This is the inspiring part. 

What happens between now and November 7? 
...We pray. Nothing happens apart from God.  We depend on Him and much more in evangelism.  Unless the Spirit of God moves, dead people will always be dead. 
...We train. "Be prepared to give an answer to eveyrone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15).  Knowing the gospel is one thing.  Knowing how to share it effectively is another. 
...We invite. I want my people to invite those whom thy build relationships with.  It's important that I support them on who are important in their lives.
...We evangelize.  Church evangelism may happen in a heart-beat.  As a church, we have strategically taken advantage of the "seasons" of the year as our mile marker for church evangelism.  I continue to encourage our church to live out the gospel and engage in personal evangelism. 

I am excited with My Hope America with Billy Graham.  As one pastor had put it, "it is one of the largest Christ Party of the year."  Informational meetings are scheduled so don't miss it.

From Disoriented to United to Divided
