Action Points After An Event
Evangelistic Church Events are wonderful ways to get the name of Jesus and the name of the church in the community. However, many churches report that they are having great events but less impact in their local church. Here are a few action points to remember:
- Register every participant. Encourage registration during the event. Include crucial questions that can point a church to follow up like prayer requests or "would you like to be added in our mailing list".
- Postcards ready to go. Postage stamp it ready - and have a Sunday School Teacher or a Small Group leader sign their name on it. Send it within days after the event.
- Engage through email. Farm new email addresses to your regular church communication method. This is one less intrusive way of getting your church name into the household. Make sure you have a link for recipients to "unsubscribe."
- A phone call. This is much effective to people who have shared a prayer request. Leaving a prayer request opens up an individual and you and your church leader's call back could be a breath of fresh air and move a person's spiritual sensitivity to great depth.
- A visit. If your registration card has "I welcome a visit from this church" section, make sure you visit, period!
