Bible Verse Throughout The Day

Image
If it is our desire to overcome sin anytime temptation knocks on the door, we need to learn from the example of Jesus.   The Bible said that Jesus was tempted at all points and yet was found without sin (Hebrews 4:15).  While tempted up in the wilderness, Satan comes and tempts Him to transform the stone into bread.   Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every words the comes from the  mouth of God"   (Matthew 4:4).   The Word of God is a powerful tool to ward of impending temptation that brings forth sin and that leads to death (James 1:15).   Use His Word and guard every moment of your life to be sin-free. Wake Up - Psalm 118:24 - This is the day that Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.   Travel - Psalm 121:1-2 - I left up my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from?   My help comes form the Lord, and Maker of heaven and earth.    School - Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become...

John 11:25 - I Am The Resurrection and the Life

ANDREA MENDOZA Wake Service John 11:25,   “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life   The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;   26, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.   Do you believe this?” Jesus’s friend Lazarus had passed away.    Both Lazarus’ sisters, Mary and Martha were deeply mourning.   So much was their despair that they said to Jesus upon seeing him, “ If you had been here, my brother would not have died” (v.21 with Martha and v 32 with Mary).    What does Jesus feel in occasions like this?    He is sad – v. 33, (also, v. 38 – deeply moved).  When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.  He mourns – v.35,   Jesus wept. At the end, He did perform a miracle of raising Lazarus.   This is undeniably the most remarkable proof that Jesus is God. ...

John 5:31-47 The Proofs That Jesus Claim is True

John 5: 31--47  The Proofs That Jesus Claim is True Introduction: Jesus proves His claim is true But claims has to be established by many witnesses Anybody can make a claim.  Remember the proposed "trilemma"?   A delusional man can claim to be God.   The devil claims to be God.  2 Cor 4:4,   In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. But if Jesus claims to be who He is, then He is divine    How can one's claim be proven true?   Through Witnesses.    Dt. 19:15 - One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. Because of this, even Jesus was hesitant to simply state his claim.   How did Jesus view his own testimony?  V. 31, "...

John 4:27-42 - The Meat In The Food

Image
INTRODUCTION: Jesus was on a mission.    In Chapter 3, he was with a religious man exhorting him to be “born again.”   In this chapter, Jesus was with an adulterer exhorting her to believe in Him as Messiah, as one who has the everlasting water and change her life. The woman had many issues, it was difficult for her to believe – until  v. 29, “I know that Messiah is coming, When he comes, he will explain everything  to us.”  All these issues – all of these excuses ... it is as if the   lady was saying, not now – when the Savior comes...then I’ll follow.    A lot of us are like that.   We wait until…    Whatever you are waiting for, don’t wait until it is too late.    Jesus’ timing to the woman however was impeccable.    Jesus said in  V 28,” I who speak to you am he.”    Jesus went through all that hard work – until to this point when the Savior was revealed to her.  ...

God Provides for our eternal need

Image
He will never leave you nor forsake you.  Not only is he present, but he is also providing.  Let's start with this verse: GOD IS A PROVIDER God is a generous God .   He made the world at first perfect from which you and I can live in it.   The bible says that “He gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to Him.”   (James 1:5).   His hand is not closed, it is open and ready to provide.    Not only is he generous but he gives good gifts.       Matthew 7:11, “If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!”    James 1:17, “every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with who there is no variation of shifting shadows.”   He gives unconditionally   Acts 17:25 says, He himself gives to all people...

Preparing For Easter Sunday

Image
It's Easter on April 1 and that's no joke!  Getting an Easter event is a very difficult task. I hope the next steps will equip you in preparing for this exciting event.  For this Easter, plan this way: 1.  Keep the big picture in front of you.   Remember your childhood days when you traced over an image and kept your focus on drawing that one line after another until the whole image surfaced?  That is what this step is.   The big picture should be before you all the time.  So you are about to plan for Easter Service.  What's the big picture?  Is it evangelistic or a celebration for church people?  Or is it both?  Whatever the case, keep the big picture in front of you.   Don't do a solo flight in your planning.  Get your main leadership structure and ask them these questions.   I firmly believe that God will clarify a lot of things when you hear what He is saying through them. 2.  Bre...

Water Baptism

BAPTISMAL LESSONS AND MATERIALS Material by Pastor Michael "Bong" Abagon  Pastor Rick explains in simple terms baptism Where it all begins Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, which is part of what has been commonly called as the Great Commission “ Go ye into all the world and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” In here, you’ll find the command to make disciples of all nations.   And when they are disciples you are to baptize them. Making Disciples What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ?   It means to be a follower of Him.   A follower is one who has confessed Christ and committed Himself to Him in the following ways:   He has repented of his sins   (Acts 2:38) He has put his faith in Christ as your Savior (John 3:16) He has made Him Lord of his life (Matt 16:24) He had accepted Him in his heart (John 1:12) Coming to church doesn’t save you, nor reading ...
